Classic Car Africa hits the shelf

Classic Car Africa magazine will be re-launched by Cars in Action at Auto Africa on 25 October, the same day the title re-appears on bookshelves country wide.

Classic Car Africa has always been a most authoritative magazine with brilliantly written articles on all manner of local classic motoring and although the new-look magazine incorporates various general interest articles on the subject of classic motoring that will appeal to a broader audience, that same unique, special blend of motoring journalism Classic Car Africa is renowned for, will continue.

"There is a definite need for a regular classic car magazine on the local market," Classic Car Africa Publisher and Editor Michele Lupini explained. "Besides the tens of thousands of local enthusiasts who indeed own classic vehicles, there is also a huge and untapped market out there that has a keen interest in classic motoring. "Classic Car Africa is aimed at providing that latent market with the reading entertainment they need and deserve."

The first issue of the new-look Classic Car Africa boasts a track test of the awesome Ford Capri Perana, which Bobby Oltoff used to great effect to sweep the board in the 1970 SA Saloon Car Championship, takes a look at the differences between a 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL Batmobile and a 2004 BMW M3 CSL alongside accounts of SA single seater and saloon racing history, an interview with the late motorcycle speed legend Vic Proctor and much, much more.

The new-look Classic Car Africa will appear on selected bookshelves in outlets country-wide and will be available at the Cars in Action stand at Auto Africa from 25 to 31 October. Classic Car Africa will be published every second month at a cover price of R25.00 and remains a stand-alone title exploring all aspects of South African classic motoring and motoring history.
