Call for entries for Mannheim Meetings/International Coproduction forum
In recent years, more than 40 feature films have been realised with the help of the Mannheim Meetings/International Coproduction, including Zola Maseko's 'Drum'. In 2004, there were over 600 one-on-one meetings.
Producers may attend either with or without a project. All information concerning submitted projects is put together in a catalogue and sent to 500 producers, distributors and sales agents worldwide. Attendees will be able to indicate on a list which projects they are interested in. These lists form the basis for the schedule that is created individually for each participant.
Producers who already have a project need to email the following documents (in English):
- synopsis: 150 words maximum
- project description: 750 word maximum
- statement of the director on aesthetics and structure: 450 words maximum
- biographical notes on the director: 300 words maximum
- rough budget and financial breakdown (in euros): 300 words maximum
Attendance is free.
The deadline for registrations is 1 November 2006 and 31 July 2006 for project submissions. Projects from Africa need to be emailed to Michiel Berkel at berksa@global.co.za. More information is available at www.mannheim-filmfestival.com.
