The group has also invited South African artists to create various pieces that will be featured on the digital wall. Multiple technical platforms will be created that allow delegates to contribute to Absa Area 72 and show visitors are encouraged to view the digital wall, as well as other elements that make up the campaign.
On the campaign, Pierre Odendaal, executive creative director at The Jupiter Drawing Room Jhb, says, "We wanted to create something seminal, something that the audience can engage with and be challenged by. We also needed to ensure that the client stood out as a brand that is innovative, with an acute awareness of technological and creative trends."

Angie Burton, group executive, Absa Group Marketing adds, "This year, we'd like art to meet digital in a revolutionary and innovative way. We also love that this idea is a visualisation of our belief that working together, anything is possible and will go far in maintaining our brand as one of our country's true art exponents."
The contributions and the art piece will also be available during and after the conference on the specially designed website www.absa72.co.za [launching today, 15 February 2011] giving the campaign longevity and an extra channel.
Others can also participate in the 72 Hours of Creativity, be it through articles, pictures or videos by emailing az.oc.27asba@ngised and the content will be uploaded to the digital wall and become a part of the artwork.
