    Buckland to speak at World Digital Publishing Conference

    Matthew Buckland, the new 24.com GM of online publishing and social media, will be speaking at the World Association of Newspapers (WAN)'s third World Digital Publishing Conference in Amsterdam, 16 - 17 October 2008. This event will run consecutively with the 11th Readership Conference at the same venue.

    The objective of the World Digital Publishing Conference is to give successful revenue-making strategies and ideas for content within the digital media landscape. The two-day event will demonstrate how newspaper companies are making money from citizen journalism, cross-media advertising, web, TV and mobile channels. Buckland's Digital Revenue-Making Innovations topic will focus on how publishers should approach user-generated content (UCG).

    Caroline Little, CEO of the Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, US, will be a keynote speaker on 'Monetising Digital Amid Marketplace Challenges'.

      Readership Conference
