A vibey Valentine's day at Montecasino
Montecasino celebrated Valentine's day in a big way on Tuesday 14 February.
The atmosphere on the complex was festive, with tango dancers, romantic music and street theatre. Visitors came in droves to experience the ambience and the free oysters and champagne and also to enjoy romantic dinners at Montecasino's many restaurants.
La Toscana at Montecasino became a love boat, ably captained by GM, Steve Howell. With décor by SA Event Décor, the venue took on an intimacy, which was enjoyed by the forty or so guests who attended the special dinner.
At the "captain's" table were members of the media and representatives from the Walter Sisulu Paediatric Cardiac Centre for Africa (WSPCCA) who are beneficiaries of Montecasino's "Giving from the Heart" campaign. The "Giving from the Heart" campaign invited visitors to Montecasino to throw coins into the fountains around Montecasino during the Valentine month of hearts, which would be donated to the WSPCCA. In addition, GM, Steve Howell handed over a cheque to the value of R20 000 as part of this campaign to senior WSPCCA cardiac surgeon, Dr Kinsey.
