The second edition of the SA Indie Film Fest took place in Johannesburg on 18 May at The Bioscope and on the 26 May 2019 at The Labia Theatre in Cape Town. SAIFF showcased talented, short-form indie filmmakers, both local and international.

The winners of the Health Track, which celebrates creativity in branded communications with the unique power to truly change lives, were revealed alongside categories from the Communication Track, celebrating the power of human creativity, bringing campaigns to life through brilliant people, partnerships and processes.
Famram Solutions founder and CEO Shamila Ramjawan recently handed over PrincessD Menstrual Cups to students at the Spearman Primary School in Sydenham, Durban. An educator from the school, Shamilla Singh, had made the sponsorship request, which was honoured by the United States of America Organisation of World Leaders, the Orchids and Famram Solutions as part of the "keeping girls in school" project.
The Labia, Cape Town's oldest independent cinema, celebrated its 70th anniversary with the first international screening of Rocketman, just three days after the film on the life and times of Elton John, was launched at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
