See: 30 PnP asap! drivers deliver 90 bags of food to deserving beneficiaries
After another challenging year, Santa has new helpers who will spread festive cheer and help vulnerable communities at the same time. Thirty Pick n Pay asap! drivers in red Santa's uniforms joined forces to deliver groceries to a local non-profit organisation for distribution to vulnerable citizens.
In total, 90 bags of food consisting of pasta, various canned foods, oil, sugar, salt, oats, lentils, rice and maize meal were packed and picked up by Santa's entourage at the Pick n Pay Waterfront store, then transported through Cape Town to Ladles of Love in Roeland Street.
The bikes carried enough food to feed a family for a week at a time, which Ladles of Love will distribute to beneficiaries over the next few days leading up to Christmas.
