Our client within the Plant Hire Industry (based in Jhb North) is expanding and requires an experienced IT manager to oversee and manage their IT infrastructure and support systems. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Big Data and a proven track record of successful IT management.

Key responsibilities:

Network management:

• Oversee and maintain the company's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implement and manage network solutions to support business operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly.

Software and system support:

• Provide technical support for software applications and systems used within the company.
• Ensure software and systems are updated, secure, and operating efficiently.
• Train staff on the use of new software and technology.

Project management:

• Lead and manage IT projects, including the implementation of new systems and technologies.
• Develop project plans, set timelines, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Bar code scanner system implementation:

• Implement and manage a bar code scanner system to improve inventory tracking and management.
• Ensure seamless integration of the bar code system with existing software and processes.
• Train staff on the use of the bar code scanner system.

Big data experience:

• Utilise big data to drive business insights and improve decision-making processes.
• Manage data collection, storage, and analysis to support business operations.
• Implement data analytics tools and techniques to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Salary:
