Key purpose of the role

Team lead for the internal sales executives ensuring the team is equipped to perform at optimal efficiency at all times in the execution of their roles.

Back up to the commercial operations manager for all workflow approvals, reporting, procedure development and implementation and system maintenance.

Effective administration for a portfolio of clients.

Key outputs/ accountability

• Accurate and timeous administration of a portfolio consisting of advertiser/agencies for all campaigns including Creative Solutions, Digital and other non-traditional airtime campaigns.
• Clear and accurate communication in facilitation of campaign/portfolio management which includes processing all campaigns, chasing material, amendments, tracking and revenue reporting.
• Effective and professional query resolution within 24 hours
• General administration functions including filing, queries, database updates, business reporting executed accurately and professionally.
• Facilitation, execution and accurate reporting of Media Partnerships, Trade Exchanges and other revenue streams not generated by the commercial sales team.
• Assist commercial operations manager with monthly reporting and revenue checks for the Internal Sales team.
• Ensure all processes and procedures are updated and available to the team and new process are documented accordingly.
• Engage with stakeholders on new offerings to ensure that all relevant parties are informed, and processes/systems are updated and documented accordingly.
• Assist finance with billing queries and month end reporting.

Educational qualifications

• Minimum Matric

Required knowledge and experience

• Minimum of four years’ experience in media administration and/or sales environment
• Background experience in Sales and/or Marketing would be an advantage
• Experience/knowledge of Advertising Processes would be an advantage

Required skills

• Professional verbal and written communication skills to manage interactions and relationships with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally
• Above average proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Numerate with a high level of accuracy and attention to alpha and numerical data
• Query resolution skills to identify and follow through on queries and tasks.
• Excellent command and comprehension of business English (verbal and written)
