Improving service through personalised welcome packs

Nashua Mobile launched a new welcome pack concept yesterday, 13 March 2008, designed to provide new and upgraded customers with information 100% relevant their contracts. The design of each welcome pack is closely aligned with the marketing strategy and corporate identity of Nashua Mobile's cellular network partners.

The service provider claims to be the first telecommunications service provider in Africa and one of the first in the world to offer such a high level of personalisation in the welcome pack. The pack was developed by MCD Group, a company specialising in variable data communications and that positions itself as a major service differentiator.

Comments Doug Mattheus, marketing director at Nashua Mobile: "Our aim with this welcome pack concept is to ensure that each customer's unique interests and needs are individually recognised. We believe that personalised service is an important differentiator in an increasingly competitive telecommunications market. Nurturing an ongoing relationship with our customers is critical to our continued success."

Each welcome pack is tailored according to the phone, contract, network (Vodacom, MTN or Cell C) and personal details of the customer, enabling customers to have access to the most relevant information.

Frequently asked questions

The welcome pack addresses the most frequently asked questions that customers have when their new contract begins. This includes information they would have needed to source from the contact centre in the past.

In line with Nashua Mobile's commitment to conducting its business in an environmentally friendly manner, the welcome pack will also be available electronically.
