Executive digital director, Yoav Tchelet, says, "It's difficult finding talent because there is still a lack of good training in the marketplace. It was therefore decided that the best way to attract the brightest minds to the sector was to create a six month internship programme.

"Work experience is critical and, through this new initiative, graduates will have the opportunity of gaining invaluable experience at one of South Africa's biggest advertising agencies where they will be working on the digital campaigns of key multi-national brands.

"From this programme we envisage employing the interns we believe will make a positive contribution. We will not be able to offer all the participating interns employment and those not chosen will still have gained work experience at a major advertising agency giving them an advantage on the job market."

From the 400 CVs received, three interns were chosen to join the agency on 1 July 2012 with the second intake being chosen at the end of the year to join the programme in January 2013.
