Loeries Young Creatives winner, student judging panel announced
A fortnight after returning from the One Show a confident Cronje believes the sky is the limit for his career. “Winning the Loeries has definitely changed the course of my career because when you win awards in advertising, people seem to trust you more which inevitably helps in the marketplace,” says Cronje.
Currently working at The Royal Metropole as an Art Director, Cronje won his first piece of silverware while still a student at the AAA School of Advertising, a Silver Student Loerie in 2005. From there he never looked back, joining Net#work BBDO straight after graduating where he worked for four years. In 2006 he won a Loerie Grand Prix, 2 Golds and one bronze for the Lonely Finger campaign. In the same year he won a Marketing Excellence Award for the same advert.
The Loerie Awards - Student Judging Panel
The panel comprises:
The Loeries' judging will take place in Johannesburg at Vega, The Brand Communications School, from 13 to 17 July 2009 and Judges Seminar will take place at the AAA School of Advertising on 13 July.
The finalists will be announced on 22nd July and the winners will receive their awards at the Festival Weekend, which will take place in Cape Town from Thursday the 24th to Sunday 27th of September.
