Saatchi's scoops Street Pole Ads Competition

When Saatchi & Saatchi Johannesburg heard about the Street Pole Ads Competition the creative team decided to produce a streetpole campaign for the new Peugeot 206 GTi 180.

The competition was organised by outdoor media placement company Ad Reach, in conjunction with 94.7 Highveld Stereo.

Of the 128 entries, Saatchi & Saatchi's Peugot campaign was selected as one of five finalists and enjoyed free exposure on streetpoles from 3 - 7 November 2003.

Then it was over to the 94.7 Highveld Stereo listeners who were invited to call in and vote for the best campaign. The Peugeot campaign received 41% of the 4 857 votes which secured the Saatchi & Saatchi creative team responsible, Olivia Tesson and Lawrence Katz, a trip to the 2004 Cannes International Advertising Festival. Peugeot also scored by winning street pole advertising space to the value of R100 000.
