Kfm's Roman moves on

Primedia Broadcasting has announced that Felicia Roman, the Managing Director of Kfm 94.5, will be leaving the station during the first quarter of next year.

Roman, who has headed up the popular Western Cape radio station for almost four years, will be joining a new empowerment consortium.

Primedia Broadcasting CEO, Terry Volkwyn, said: "Roman will be missed. She has made an enormous contribution and we wish her well in her new venture."

Roman said that the decision to leave Kfm 94.5 had been "a hard one and had taken many months to make. Joining the new empowerment consortium is an exceptional opportunity for me.

"I have been lucky to be part of a young, dynamic and passionate team that has made Kfm 94.5 the most listened to radio station in the Western Cape," she said.

Primedia Broadcasting recently took control of Kfm 94.5. It joins three successful radio stations within the stable, 94.7 Highveld Stereo, 567 CapeTalk and Talk Radio 702.

Roman added: "I came into radio from the outside and I've never looked back.
My time at Kfm has been filled with fun and excitement. I am sure that the station will continue to grow from strength to strength."

Volkwyn said no decision has yet been taken as to who will replace Roman. "We hope to make an announcement in the New Year."
