Direct Access – THE conference handbook 2004 celebrates its tenth edition

Ten years on and Direct Access – THE conference handbook continues to serve the growing South African meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) industry. This year's edition of Direct Access brings you more essential industry information than ever before.

Adele Singer Levin, Publisher of WriteStuff Publishing cc says, "We celebrate our tenth anniversary at the same time as our country South Africa celebrates it tenth year of democracy – and we are proudly and passionately South African, enthusiastically serving the South African conference industry, both locally and internationally."

The handbook is distributed free to local corporate and professional conference and event organizers and provides advertisers with a highly effective means of reaching this target market. Users benefit by having quick access to an invaluable resource of venues, facilitators, teambuilders, events and entertainment organisers, products and services.

Direct Access – THE conference handbook has another reason to celebrate this year. We are the winner of the 2003 Sappi MPASA PICA Business-to-Business Magazine Award for the best South African Annual Directory. This prestigious accolade was won on its first entry into the competition, a great tribute to the people who comprise the Direct Access team.

Judges of the event commended Direct Access – THE conference handbook for its thoroughly researched content, as well sections enabling ease of use. Indeed, this year's design makes for even greater user-friendliness. The sections have been re-assesed and restructured from three to four more specialised/niche categories, namely: Speakers, Facilitators & Teambuilders; Events & Entertainment; Products & Services; and Venues. In honour of South Africa's democratic anniversary, a new section has been added: Destination Celebration, an in-depth look at the country's most exceptional conferencing destinations. Yet another great feature includes handy cardboard dividers, enabling quick, convenient reference. And while the new look of Direct Access – THE conference handbook contains just as many advertisers as ever, its sleek, slim design ensures it fits perfectly into your briefcase.

All listings are also featured on www.saconference.co.za, the handbook's dynamic online counterpart, that also boasts topical articles on pressing industry issues, as well as Interact!, a bi-monthly html newsletter mailed to over 9 000 MICE industry players.

While you're checking out the portal, don't forget to complete the online form at www.saconference.co.za/subscribe.asp that enables you to become a registered user and qualify to receive annual copies of Direct Access – THE conference handbook. If you have already registered, watch out for your copy in the post – it should be arriving any day now. Alternatively, visit the WriteStuff Publishing stand, stall 76, at the ICT Business Travel Expo, at the Sandton Convention Centre, between 25-27 February.
