2008 IABC board announced
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Africa Region announced its 2008 board members earlier this week. The position of chair remains unchanged, with Sue Beaumont from the Really Useful Communication Company heading up the association.

Beaumont's two-year term ends in October 2008, when she will be succeeded by Dr Amanda Hamilton-Attwell of Business DNA South Africa. Past chair is Theresa Lee of Bounce Communication. Treasurer of the association is Russel Fox from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The Africa Quill Awards will be run by Ros Jones and Pietie Mackenzie and their main aim will be to increase the number of entries. Carol Allers from Eskom will be in charge of the Regional Conference. Member communication will be run by Mareli Wassenaar and Zahn Matthee, and Tertia Dafel continues as secretariat.
The chapter presidents also sit on the board and in 2008 they are Mareli Wassenaar from Pretoria, Sophia Dower from Johannesburg, Hanlie Connan from Cape Town and Katie Kerenge from Tanzania.
