Reputation Management is a half-day course that targets senior practitioners and consultants. This programme looks at corporate reputation and the influences of perception, as well as how to understand and measure these perceptions.
Integrated Communication Strategies takes place over a two-day period and deals with strategic planning and the links to communication.
The programme “Are you an exhibitionist?” is an area of relationship-building which has grown tremendously over the past five years. This interactive programme will enable the delegate to identify hidden PR opportunities and bring the brand to life. This programme will also be run over a two-day period.
All programmes will be presented at the PRISA national office in Ferndale; however, should there be more than 10 interested parties in a particular region, PRISA will then relocate that programme to that area.
The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes are a joint initiative by PRISA and the Business Chamber of the Services SETA. The objective behind this initiative is to empower the industry by educating the professionals. For each CPD event attended, the professionals will earn points, which accumulate over a three-year period. This then results in the upgrading of a level of practice or the maintenance of the globally recognised Accredited Public Relations Practitioner (APR) status.
The CPD programmes with PRISA are known as the “PRogressions” scheme and are aimed at any education needed to enhance your abilities and body of knowledge. It also assists with the development of your career and any skills such as of mentoring, part-time lecturing, presenting and research. Ivan Lätti was once quoted as saying: “A profession is a noted work-field in society, characterised by a growing body of knowledge and participation criteria including an ethical code”.
