Zinto launches record label

The record company intends offering a one-stop music, entertainment and marketing shop. It will promote this approach by offering 360° contracts that include concerts, merchandise, publicity and live shows. The goal is to sign up-and-coming talent to the label and generate exposure for aspiring performers at promotional roadshows and events.

Lephondo comments, "As well as being a booking agency for musicians of all genres, it will also double-up as a performance space for emerging artists. The musicians will be in a position to utilise our promotional platforms to engage with their audiences and market themselves."

The entertainers signed to the label will have the opportunity to become branded performers and artists, as well as brand ambassadors for the company's extensive portfolio of clients. "This strategy will eliminate the middleman and increase the musicians' earnings as they will have direct access to their audiences and be able sell their music directly to the market," Hlatshwayo says.

ZAG will supply the sound, staging, lighting, gig-rigs, back-up dancers and/or singers needed for the performers in their breakthrough performances and on-going promotional live shows.
