Less yada yada, more win win for the Boks

To capture the spirit of the 2011 Rugby World Cup, Joe Public recently created a new television ad for Dial Direct in line with its previous talking hands and 'Less Yada Yada, More Ching Ching' campaign. [video]

The ad features a fictional All Blacks team, whose heads have been replaced by Dial Direct's talking hands, performing the Haka, and ends off with a pay-off line to encourage our national rugby team, "Less yada yada, more win win. Bring home the cup Bokke!"

Says executive creative director Pepe Marais, "The idea behind the New Zealand Haka ad is obviously a tactical play on the Rugby World Cup as it's one of the most topical pieces of conversation today. We're getting huge positive feedback. In fact, we were amazed to see one of the New Zealand players, after scoring a try, using Dial Direct's Talking Hands signature move, right on the playing field. Coincidence?"

The TVC is airing across most TV channels and in addition, has made a viral impact through the likes of Twitter and YouTube. Radio talk show hosts have also been fielding comments directly related to the commercial.
