SA Spam Summit an unequivocal success
"We have had good feedback from all the delegates – media and business people alike. That is largely due to the content of the conference itself," states Kathy von Plato, consulting publisher at Systems Publishers and organizer of the event.
Key issues highlighted by the conference include:
In line with the final point above, a draft set of guidelines for the commercial use of email was tabled for discussion. These guidelines will form the basis of a green paper process to arrive at an industry-approved Code of Conduct for commercial email usage, to be administrated by the Marketing Federation of South Africa, along the same lines as the SMS Code. A copy of these guidelines is available upon request via the Spam Summit web site at www.spamsummit.co.za.
Systems Publishers has produced a reference booklet highlighting the key issues arising out of the SA Spam Summit copies of which are available from Systems Publishers (tel: 011 789 1808) at a cost of R20.00 per copy, excluding VAT.
Interested parties are able to dowload the speakers' presentations from the Spam Summit web site, www.spamsummit.co.za.
