SABC denies being summoned to ANC HQ
The SABC had categorically denied this morning, Monday, 10 November 2008, claims by a report in The Sunday Independent yesterday that it was summoned to the ANC headquarters last week in connection with its alleged political bias in reporting.
Stated SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago, “The acting CEO of the SABC Mr Gab Mampone wishes to put it on record that the allegations and claims by The Sunday Independent are not only misleading but also geared to inflame and ignite political tensions in the country.
“We call upon The Sunday Independent to provide proof or evidence to substantiate these irresponsible and unwarranted allegations.”
