ACA appoints Meropa to spearhead its communications

The Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA) has appointed Meropa Communications as its public relations agency, ACA chair Maserame Mouyeme has announced.

The appointment was made after an in-depth and transparent assessment by an ACA sub-committee.

Mouyeme said: "We aimed at matching the skills of the PR agency to the ACA's requirements, as the advertising industry has a great deal that it needs to communicate. For example, we are soon to announce a new CEO of the ACA who will take over from Dr. Nina de Klerk.

"And, now is the time to enter the ACA's Apex Awards, which are the pre-eminent advertising effectiveness awards - for advertising that really works. We also need to communicate the many ACA services to members such as legal and tendering advice, and of course the continuing transformation of our industry.

"We intend to use Meropa predominantly for media relations but they will be involved in all of the ACA projects, including our significant involvement with the Loerie Awards Committee," she concluded.
