Hlomla Dandala has been named as the man who’ll guide the love-filled action on the upcoming television show, All You Need Is Love. Hlomla, best known to many millions of South Africans for his role as Derek Nyathi on the SABC 3 programme, Isidingo, is set to provide a matchless combination of charm, wit, intelligence, sensitivity and, of course, gorgeous looks to ensure viewers at home remain glued to their television sets.
All You Need Is Love is a show (now successfully broadcast in over 15 countries globally) that moves reality television into the zone of romance, emotions and real relationships.
Dubbed "emo-tainment", the show will be broadcast every Saturday at 18H30, starting 5th October 2002 on SABC 1. The series will use its 52 episodes and four distinct segments to bring together people from all across the country. There is the video message, which deals with secret love, unrequited love, neglected love and long distance love; the love lounge, where the All You Need Is Love team sets up a bachelor/bachelorette with three or four potential love interests; the serenade, where someone wants to communicate, through song, a particularly special message (in studio) to his/her loved one; and vox pops, where people write in wanting the All You Need Is Love team to help them get in touch with a lost love.
