New Media has appointed Bernard Mostert as General Manager: New Media Digital (NMD) – their digital publishing arm.
His role is to manage and drive new business for the division that focuses on contract digital publishing, Internet strategy, development and maintenance of websites & intranets and also manage the digital communication strategy for clients.
Mostert was previously features editor at Touchline, and he writes a weekly golf column for the Weekend Argus. His work has been published in several magazines including Sports Illustrated, Insig and Men's Health.
Mostert studied B.Comm (Accounting, Business Management & Industrial Psychology) at Stellenbosch from 1994 to 1996 followed by an Honours degree in Journalism. In his final year of B.Comm he won awards as the university's best Business Management Student and the Association of Marketers' Medal as the best marketing student. He is currently completing his MBA degree with UCT's Graduate School of Business.

They are currently a service provider to some 17 clients including New Media's print titles Wegbreek, INSIG, VISI and DriveOut and they handle virtual communications for corporates like BMW Motorad, Santam and Levi Strauss.
