See Colin Moss in Surviving Evil

Local actor Colin Moss will be starring in Surviving Evil, a joint British/South African production, which will be opening at Ster-Kinekor Theatres nationally from this Friday, 10 July 2009, the company has just announced.

The story opens with a TV crew arriving at the remote Mayaman Island in the Philippines to shoot a jungle survival special. Humour abounds on arrival, but very soon internal conflict amongst the crew members leads to a few horrific experiences. They also learn about the legend of the Aswang
- horrifying, mythical creatures from Philippine folklore that live in the trees, can change their shape, hunt for human flesh and crave the blood of pregnant women. Only fire deters them and they won't venture below ground.

Surviving Evil is a locally produced horror feature starring Billy Zane (Titanic, Memphis Belle), Colin Moss (Number 10), Natalie Mendoza (Moulin Rouge), Christina Cole (Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day), Louise Barnes (from SA TV's Egoli and Jozi H) and Joel Torre. The film marks writer/director Terence Daw's (Brookside, Emmerdale [TV]) directorial debut. The film was shot entirely on location in Durban and is a SA/British co-production.
