Building on the last two years' popular Yoga Challenge, Home and Home and YogaWay are inviting the public to join them in celebrating and embracing the popular practice of 108 Sun Salutations. The 2013 Yoga Challenge will take place on 1 August 2013 or 01.08, a date which perfectly aligns itself to the 108 concept.

An offering or gift of peace or unity

"Performing 108 Sun Salutations in large groups can be perceived as an 'offering', or gift of peace or unity. We are asking our special 'Challenge Yogis' and their friends and family to come and make this a gift for Home for Home - by making a donation of R108 (or R1800, or R10800!) you can make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children," says Melissa Brake, YogaWay founder and teacher.

Home From Home development director Pippa Shaper says, "The Yoga Challenge over the last two years has been such an incredible success that it was an obvious decision to continue the Home from Home and yoga link. We are asking other studios and groups in Cape Town and across the globe to join us in their own 108 practice."

While there are many ways to do a Sun Salutation, YogaWay will be demonstrating a few examples through easy-to-follow videos which can be found on their website at www.yogaway.co.za. There will also be for sale, unique 108 T-shirts as a keepsake to celebrate the event, which are being sold in aid of Home from Home.
