Global merger for FCB Worldwide and Draft
"While FCB South Africa already has tremendous expertise in these areas and has been offering its clients an integrated communications solutions for many years now, we believe the merger will lead to a greater below-the-line capability for us. It will increase our access to leading-edge technology as well as the ability to tap into the latest below-the-line and CRM capabilities," says Morley.
The new company, which will be known as the Draft FCB Group, will be headed by Draft CEO Howard Draft. Current CEO of FCB Worldwide, Steve Blamer, will leave the agency after a transition period. FCB's Jonathan Harries, who will visit South Africa later this year to judge in The Loerie Awards 2006, has been named worldwide chief creative officer.
"Draft is well known globally for its outstanding work in behavioural strategic development and the creation of profitable customer experiences through data and CRM, retail and promotions, accountability and ROI discipline," concludes Morley.
