Ongoing outdoor wrangle continues in court

Ad Outpost are claiming to have reached agreement with SANRAL and the Ministry of Transport to the effect that they have concluded rights to advertise on property owned by, or under the jurisdiction of SANRAL and/or the Ministry of Transport. In addition to the above, Ad Outpost are asserting that agreement has been reached with OHMSA, SANRAL and the Ministry of Transport on a way forward with regard to the current High Court action and to changes to the National Roads Act and the regulations promulgated there under.

The fact of the matter is quite simply that there is no agreement of any nature regarding the above issues between Ad Outpost, SANRAL, the Ministry of Transport or OHMSA. Les Holley the General Manager of Out of Home Media SA said that it was impossible for there to have been any form of agreement between Ad Outpost and the association as there had been no discussion on any of the issues other than via the court papers.

The High Court action is continuing, with Ad Outpost having to provide their Answering Affidavits to the allegations against them.

The fact that Ad Outpost has indemnified landlords and clients against any possible costs incurred, does not indemnify these advertisers and property owners in any way from any criminal prosecution that may be instituted.
