Local cook-off competition launches on DStv
Take 32 amateur chefs, add them to a steamy kitchen, increase the pressure and watch the temperature rise as South Africa's latest TV reality show takes place to find the top amateur chef team to represent SA in the LG Life Tastes Good Cooking Championship International Final in Turkey in October 2011.
LG Electronics' third national championship will be broadcast this year on DStv's Home Channel, starting on Tuesday, 16 August 2011 at 7:30pm. The 13 episodes will end with the final broadcast on Tuesday 8 November in Turkey, where the SA champions pitch their dish against the tastes and talents of the rest of the world.
The competition is judged by South African food personality Jenny Morris, also known as 'The Giggling Gourmet' and the show is hosted by 702 radio personality Kieno Kammies.
The LG Life Tastes Good Championship 2011 is reportedly the only cooking competition on a global level that is endorsed by renowned organisations such as the World Association of Chefs Societies and Le Cordon Bleu.
