BBC Worldwide's international entertainment channel, BBC Prime, is launching an international vote for the most popular BBC television comedy. Viewers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa will be able to vote for their favourite comedy throughout August and September as the channel broadcasts a festival of BBC comedy.

BBC Prime will broadcast three competing comedies every Saturday night from 7 August until 18 September (20:30 to 22:00 CET). Voting commences on August 7th and the final results will be announced with a special comedy countdown from 18:30 CET on 25th September.

A special website, www.bbcprime.com/britcoms, will allow viewers to watch clips from twenty top BBC comedies and vote for their number one favourite.
