Tswane gets a new wake-up call from TuksFM

Pretoria based campus radio station TuksFM has announced a DJ shake-up, with some fresh new talent on air. Current mid morning host Francois du Toit moves to the breakfast show, while Tim Zunckel presents a new afternoon drive show with Grant Nash.

The day time line up will include two new faces to mid-morning in the form of weekend jocks Tony and Kenzy on alternate days. Lunch remains the same with Anele and Stav.

Richard Perry, TuksFM Station Manager, says: "The revised line-up allows us to introduce new on-air talent to South African radio and also gives a fresh sound to our prime time shows. We are committed to our current listeners' music and entertainment needs and are confident the line-up will also attract new listeners to the station.

"It's time to wake the capital up with a Bang! We are daily slaves to the salt mines in Pretoria and to round it all off, we still have to listen to people screaming, people talking crap and we then still have to listen to the sing-along songs that other commercial radio stations play. It's time to change radio to the way it should be, filled with positive energy and relevant information."

Du Toit's line-up will include the regular news, traffic and any other relevant happenings in the capital, as well as a new and fresh approach to morning interaction, with Gayle Roux and Martine van der Walt.

The show airs from 6 to 9 in the morning.
