Sponsors walk the distance with 100-year old event

These two organisations have been involved with the event for the past 26 and four years respectively and their contributions and support have been invaluable in putting this 100-year old Cape Town tradition on the map as the biggest walk in Africa.

"First National Bank's continued support of the Cape Times FNB Big Walk endorses the vision of the event; where the upliftment of the communities, bringing families together and supporting those less fortunate are the main objectives," says Trevor Strydom, CEO of First National Bank in the Western Cape.

"The Cape Times is proud of it's association with the Cape Times FNB Big Walk, not only because it is a great Cape Town event but also because it brings people together, puts back in to the community and support local charities," says Michael Vale, Marketing Director of Cape Times.

The 2003 Cape Times FNB will take place on Sunday, 12 October 2003 and boasts eight scenic routes. Entries open mid-September.
