Endorsement elevates MA(SA)'s role
"Official recognition from the statutory body acknowledges the association as a professional body at a national level. This will assist in facilitating interaction with government, as a point of contact for information pertaining to the practices, knowledge and skills of marketing professionals and practitioners in South Africa," says MA(SA) CEO, Lovemore Mushayanyama.
"No other marketing association has received this recognition from SAQA to date and it therefore reaffirms our position as a leading association in this sector."
'Stamp of approval'
The endorsement will further elevate the association's Chartered Marketer SA (CMSA) professional designation and the Marketing Practitioner (MPSA) designation. This 'stamp of approval' from government highlights that these professional designations adhere to the guidelines and principles in terms of the NQF Act, which in turn is aligned to the policy and guidelines determined by SAQA in South Africa.
The CMSA designation has been given added credibility through this recognition as it can now be benchmarked against other similar professional designations at a national level and is accredited by the European Marketing Confederation (EMC). "Our core offering, the CMSA, is both nationally and internationally recognised," concludes Mushayanyama.
