UAM joins AFEX 2013

Dates: 17-18 April 2013

Venue: Protea Hotel Balalaika, Johannesburg, South Africa

Three weeks to AFEX 2013!

United Against Malaria (UAM) has joined forces with AFEX 2013 to reinforce the message that football can make a major difference in the social context in Africa. Founded in advance of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, United Against Malaria (UAM) is an alliance of football (soccer) teams, celebrities, health and advocacy organisations, governments and corporations who have united together against malaria.

UAM is made up of over 200 partners from diverse sectors and continents who invest their experience, time, funds, skills and enthusiasm because they share a common goal: to end malaria deaths by 2015. Last year the Confederation of African Sport (CAF) named the UAM campaign an official social programme of the 2013 African Cup of Nations that took place in South Africa earlier this year. The organisation is supported by football legends including Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto'o. We are also delighted to welcome Anna McCartney-Melstad, Country Manager of UAM in South Africa as a speaker at AFEX 2013.

Mokwena Thomas Kwenaite, producer and presenter at SuperSport has been confirmed as a presenter at AFEX 2013. As one of the most respected media personalities on the continent, Mr. Kwenaite is well placed to offer advice and inspiration to our audience at AFEX 2013 which takes place in April 2013 in Johannesburg.

A Truly African event!

African Football Executive Confex (AFEX) gives delegates a platform and forum to take their views, vision and ideas to create real change in African football business. For the third time in this series, we will bring together delegates from across Africa and beyond to address the most challenging issues of today. AFEX's focused presentations, panels and networking sessions will enable us achieve the objective of a profitable, professional and well managed football industry on the continent.
