SA to say Howzit to foreign tourists

The first issue of Howzit, a South African lifestyle guide, will be in airports from 1 January 2010. Launched by TCB Publishing, this free publication is aimed at foreign tourists arriving in South Africa, a number that is expected to increase considerably in 2010.

"Having travelled extensively ourselves, we know how overwhelming it can be arriving in a new country with an itinerary clutched in hand, usually booked by a travel agent who has never travelled to the country," says Bernie Hellberg, chief operations officer of the TCB Group. "This is why we have created the guide to be a travel companion to visiting tourists offering them not only a friendly welcome to the country but an informative guide to the best that South Africa has to offer."

Free, fun, fact-filled

A fun, informative lifestyle guide, it focuses on all aspects of the country, from travel destinations and events, to proudly South African food, the local lingo, our diverse culture and our quirky, wonderful people. The complimentary monthly edition of the publication is available to all visitors passing through the international arrivals halls at OR Tambo and Cape Town International Airports.

"It will be prominently displayed on a dedicated stand in the international arrivals halls of both airports. The magazine is conveniently sized to easily slip into a handbag, briefcase or backpack," concludes Hellberg.
