Bust US Reader's Digest won't affect SA
Walter Beyleveldt, MD of Reader's Digest Australia, which also manages South Africa, confirmed yesterday, Tuesday 18 August 2009, that the announced US Reader's Digest Association restructuring has no impact on the SA business, which is continuing to go from strength to strength.

“It will remain ‘business as usual' for the South African business and nothing will change for our employees, vendors or business partners,” he stated.
“We are well on track with our strategy of rebuilding the South African business and this includes exploring opportunities to launch some of our successful Australian magazine brands onto the South African market. Our South African business continues to grow and is unaffected by any financial restructuring taking place in the US.”
