The anniversary issue is packed with 25 years of men, sex, love, work and friendship. Not only that, for the first time in the magazine's history in South Africa, it's not featuring a supermodel on the cover, but the iconic COSMO pose.
“We broke with tradition and replaced our cover model with a silhouette of a model in the iconic pose,” says Vanessa Raphaely, editor of the magazine. “The three-quarter shot, with hands on the hip, is synonymous with us and symbolises the fun, fearless approach of the magazine. COSMO girls know how to enjoy life and this month's issue celebrates the best the magazine has to offer.”
The magazine's 25th birthday party, sponsored by Guess and Brutal Fruit, will be held at Taboo in Sandton, Johannesburg, on 25 March. The hottest new band, Zebra & Giraffe, will perform, while 5FM's Erica Elle, Roger Goode and Grant and Anele will DJ.
One reader stands the chance to win R25 000 on the night. Hidden in 25 copies of the magazine across the country will be 25 tickets. The 25 recipients of these tickets will be flown to the party, where one will win the cash prize.
