The competition started on 6 September 2010 and viewer voting narrowed down the 10 to five finalists, who each hosted a show last week. Again the viewers voted, ultimately selecting their favourite two.
Producer Wilna van Schalkwyk believes that, as adults, the production team are not the best people to determine what the young audience wants. "The viewers have their own ideas of what they like and who they want to see on their screens every day," she said. "So, instead of waiting for their feedback on presenters we select, why not just ask them?"
