More organic options for baby

South African produced organic baby food brand, Olli Organic, is expanding its product range to include organic baby cereals and biscuits, as well as Step 3 baby foods, for babies from aged 10 months and older. With no added sugar, allergens, salt or modified starch, the Step 3 ready-to-eat range aims to offer exceptional nutritional and health benefits to babies. It is also both halaal and kosher certified.
More organic options for baby

Leonard Mead chief executive officer and co-founder of Allganix Foods (Pty) Limited, the company which produces Olli, says, “We have produced the new products under the most stringent organic principles. As a result they are completely free of pesticides and have higher levels of nutrients, including vitamins and minerals.

“By feeding our children certified organic foods, we can be sure that we are not adding a toxic load to their young, developing immune systems.”

The new range of products adds to the existing Step 1 and 2 jarred baby food ranges which are available in Pick 'n Pay, Checkers and Baby City. The new product lines comprise Step 3 jarred baby food, cereals and biscuits.

In the jar

Step 3 is a range of ready-made jarred baby meals for babies aged 10 months and older. This range is nutritionally balanced and introduces texture and diversity into a baby's diet. The meals contain combinations of organic vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes and two jarred dessert products. Grains and legumes have been combined to create “clean” proteins for your baby. Step 3 jarred flavours include Sweet Potato, Lentils and Buckwheat; and Butternut and Brown Rice Bake.

Certified cereals

The Olli Organic cereal range is available in three flavours suitable for the first three development stages. They contain only certified organic rice and other grains and certified organic fruit. The three cereal flavours are: Rice; Rice, Apple and Pear; and Oats, Banana and Pear. To ensure maximum absorption of vitamins and minerals the baby cereal is taken through a patented process used to ‘flake' the grains. The flaking process is said to help maximise nutrients, vitamins and minerals from the original grain so that baby is able to absorb all the nutrition naturally and without fortification.

Biting the biscuit

The new Olli Organic Baby Biscuit is ideal for babies from the age of eight months and is formulated not to break or crumble easily. The ingredients are carefully selected and baked to help in the chewing stages of a baby's development. The biscuit also offers a good gnawing option for teething babies.

All Olli Organic baby meals are sold nationally.
