Magna Carta is PR agency of the year

Magna Carta has added the "PR Agency of the Year Award", announced at the annual AdReview Awards last week, to its recent awards collection, which includes a Golden World Award from the International PR Association for the Makoya Moolla campaign, and three PRISA Prism Awards from less than a month ago.

Magna Carta is the strategic communications arm of the TBWA\ Group and is known for its fused approach for creative solutions across brand, financial and corporate public relations.

Says Magna Carta MD Michele Anderson, "Magna Carta has steadfastly stuck to the philosophy of owning the strategic space and being a partner to our clients in every sense of the word. We invest time and effort in understanding our clients' business goals, delivering to their objectives, and consulting to them as equal partners. We are well-known in the industry for delivery, and these days, in a world where exceeding expectations is an exception, rather than a rule, this philosophy has paid dividends."

Adds Annemarie McKay, deputy managing director, Magna Carta, "These awards are a tribute to the team of passionate people at Magna Carta, who are totally dedicated to maximising the impact of our clients' public relations and communications spend, and who deliver amazing work in the process."

Magna Carta and TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris also received The Big Idea award for their integrated campaign encouraging South Africans to take part in the recent municipal elections for the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC). This award is also a demonstration of the fused communications approach that Magna Carta uses to disseminate vital information across communications platforms when speaking across the LSM groupings.

"Our integrated approach, which we believe we pioneered in this country, also delivers an edge on the competition - we don't believe PR is the panacea, but when integrated with other marketing elements; when it is at the epicentre of the business, it becomes incredibly powerful," says Anderson.
