Joanna Oosthuizen new national MD Ogilvy PR
Joanna Oosthuizen has been promoted to the position of national MD for Ogilvy PR South Africa. She is currently the MD for the Ogilvy PR office in Johannesburg.
Under her leadership, the Johannesburg office has grown by over 600% in the past three and a half years and it is now the second largest office in the EAME region, with London being the largest. In addition, she launched the Social@Ogilvy practice in 2012, followed by the Content Factory in Johannesburg in 2013 and, most recently, started the Ogilvy PR offering in the O&M Durban office.
Carol Gallarelli, MD of Ogilvy PR Cape Town will continue to lead the team and drive the Cape Town based office with Oosthuizen's ongoing support. Oosthuizen will continue to report to Abey Mokgwatsane, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather South Africa.
