In with Becker, out with Jeannie D at Good Hope

Natalie Becker will be joining the Good Hope FM team from the beginning of October 2006 to take over the weekday evening radio show from Jeannie D, who has decided to concentrate on her television career. Becker is currently presenting the 6 - 10pm slot on Heart FM.

Effective 1 October 2006, Becker will take over from Jeannie D on the Monday to Thursday slot, 6 - 10pm, with Pam Lungu now presenting at these times Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Jeannie D has chosen to join the Top Billing team fulltime from 1 October. Currently appearing in "Strictly Come Dancing", Jeannie D has been with Good Hope FM for four years, starting off as a news broadcaster and eventually making her way to the weekday 6 - 10pm slot.

"Radio is my first love, and I will always be grateful for the platform Good Hope FM has provided me with. No other station could have provided me with a better training ground," says Jeannie D.

"I am thrilled to be joining such a dynamic team of talented individuals- it's an opportunity for growth and expansion in my career and a brilliant platform for really taking it to the next level", says Becker about her move. Becker has also worked in television, being a presenter on Top Billing, The Cosmo Show, Mega Millions and currently on SABC 3's Free Spirit.

Newly-appointed Good Hope FM station manager, Anthony Duke, is excited about the change. "We wish Jeannie D well in her new career, and we're proud that it was Good Hope FM that was her launching pad onto a national stage. Natalie is a popular, well-loved and well-respected media superstar and will be the perfect ingredient to the already talented blend of on air talent."

Duke formally takes over as station manager at Good Hope FM from 1 September 2006.
