Property investment goes interactive

This month sees the launch of a nationwide roadshow for Dolphin Whispers, a 70 million rand luxury apartment block that is part of a R1.2 billion private sector investment in the development of the Point area in Durban.

With a starting price of R1.640 million per apartment, it was important that New Ground Investments (Pty) Ltd., one of the key developers behind the project had a multimedia presentation professional enough to sell not only the Development but the burgeoning lifestyle of the Point area as a place of 24 hour activity where people can work, play and live.

New Ground Investments looked no further than VuBoan Africa, a dynamic ad agency based in Durban. "In a matter of two weeks VuBoan Africa put together a multi-media presentation that really sold the lifestyle of the area and the city's vision of urban renewal," says Nandi Mandela, Company Director of New Ground Investments (Pty) Ltd. "This was no easy task based on the fact that the entire Point area is still in its infancy. Dolphin Whispers is selling off-plan with construction expected to start early next year with an anticipated completion date 18 months later. Given that, I'm really impressed with the fact that our Agency was able to visualize what we wanted and creatively unpacked it into a presentation that incorporates sound, video clips and conceptual photography. This really makes our job easier and helps the customer get a real sense of the vibe and the buzz."

If the fact that more than 80 people came to attend the first presentation held at The Royal Hotel in Durban on the 2nd of November, is anything to go by, sales for Dolphin Whispers are sure to be a resounding success. In conjunction with the multimedia presentation a website (www.dolphinwhisperssa.co.za) has been launched to give factual information to potential buyers and also to act as a database in terms of leads for potential buyers. Potential buyers will be informed of presentations in their area.

"Harnessing of technology in this respect has really made our job that much easier. The multi-media presentation will be used at various venues locally, in other African countries and internationally."

It looks as though gone are the days that developers had to rely on a brightly coloured sales folder to get prospective buyers attention! Check our website, www.vuboan.co.za, for more exciting updates.
