"Fax2Email and Virtual Fax are two sides of the same coin. The one enables the receiving of faxes and the other the sending of faxes. The difference is that Fax2Email is free while Virtual Fax is a paid-for service," says Antony McKechnie, head: product development at iBurst.
Virtual Fax is available on a 12-month subscription at R30 per month. Subscribers are required to purchase fax vouchers in R50 or R100 denominations from www.iburst.co.za to pay for transmission costs. After signing up for the service on the iBurst website, a welcome email will be sent to the customer within one hour.
To use the new service, iBurst subscribers need only send an email to their destination fax number followed by @faxburst.co.za. The email is converted into the correct format and delivered to the recipient's fax machine.
According to McKechnie, "Virtual Fax and Fax2Email are the perfect solutions for small enterprises wanting to keep hardware costs to a minimum."
Itemised fax usage data is available online, making for simple and effective message management.
