Coupon book launched for group buying
Adding to the group buying craze is the newly launched Twister Lifestyle South Africa, a printed coupon book with a free web subscription that has daily updated specials for a year. It reportedly offers R100 000 worth of special deals.
"A key feature is that the book is only on sale via charities, schools and other fundraising organisations as well as our website," says founder Cheryl Nesbitt who first discovered the concept in Christchurch, New Zealand. These organisations receive R50 for each book that is sold.
Its initial launch with Cape Town based businesses targets a broad market segment with categories that include wining and dining; mind, body and soul; get away; fun and leisure; products and services; night life and fun for free. It is expected to spread to Gauteng, closely followed by Durban and surrounds.
