Replacement SABC board members announced
The four new SABC board members are Dr Sethe Makhesha, Sembie Danana, Adv Cawekazi Mahlati and Lumko Mtimde, replacing Felleng Sekha, Barbara Masekela, David Niddrie and Makgatho Mello, who resigned last year.
President Jacob Zuma has appointed these four as non-executive members, effective 3 June 2011 for a term ending on 9 June 2015, , in terms of Section 13(1) read with 13(8) of the Broadcasting Act of 1999.
"I wish them all the success in this important endeavour and I am certain that they are aware of the immense responsibility the nation has placed on them, to serve the country through our national broadcaster, the SABC," said President Zuma.
