Time out for The Times?
NEWSWATCH: Avusa, owner of The Times, which is delivered free to Sunday Times subscribers, has denied rumours that the free-to-subscribers newspaper may be closed, says Business Report, which also looks at Telkom, and how it will make up for post-Vodacom earnings. On the SABC front, a senior political correspondent Sophie Mokoena is in trouble after calling a rival radio station and badmouthing the national broadcaster - her voice was recognised, reports IOL, which also reports the death of a Cape Town DJ. Farther afield... Facebook can bite, as a Canadian woman found out when her insurer saw pictures of her in a bikini - and anything but depressed, reports IOL Technology. Back in Africa, a Kenyan TV satire has local politicians in a bit of a bother, reports Mail & Guardian Online.
