The Citizen loses McBride defamation case
NEWSWATCH: The Johannesburg High Court yesterday, Wednesday, 6 February 2008, ruled in favour of Ekurhuleni metro police head Robert McBride in the defamation case lodged against The Citizen and three of its journalists for editorial comments published in September 2003, reports Business Day and The Citizen.
The public broadcaster SABC is being taken to court again by the SABC Retiree Association for withdrawing subsidies to medical aid contributions of a group of SABC employees who were retrenched or resigned from 1993 and 2000, according to IOL.
