ABC routine audit checks on all publishers
In light of recent reports on circulation irregularities of certain Media24 magazine titles in the market place, the Audit Bureau of Circulations yesterday issued a press statement reiterating that it executes routine audit checks on all publishers.
Stated Charles Beiles, GM of the ABC, “Routine check audits are undertaken from time to time at all publishers, irrespective of size. At previous check audits undertaken in respect of, amongst others, Johnnic, Caxton and Independent Group Magazines titles, no significant errors in circulation were detected.
“It was on such a routine check audit that significant discrepancies in circulation in respect of certain Media24 magazine titles were detected.”
