Last week, ROI Media revealed that Gareth Cliff had dominated social media for the week.

This week he's definitely trending on Twitter, especially following the furore that arose when Cliff tweeted that "People really don't understand free speech at all" after the recent Penny Sparrow debacle.

Cliff was since fired from M-Net's Idols for alleged racism, and is now suing them for R25m and taking the broadcaster to court for wrongful dismissal. He demands reinstatement before the next season of the show begins at the end of the month.

EWN confirms that Advocate Dali Mpofu is part of Cliff's legal team.
The SABC adds that M-Net is 'unable to comment' on the lawsuit.

Time will tell the outcome. Click here for The Daily Vox's overview of three times Cliff has gotten away with pushing the limits before.
